EA Sports FC 25 returns with more icons than ever for players to choose from, though some of the best choices from previous years are back in the fold. Players who are interested in creating the best Ultimate Team will have to invest a lot of time and effort (and money), and due to their value on the pitch and rarity in packs, FC 25 Icons are currently the most expensive cards in the game, but players will need to invest in the best to enjoy the best value for money. Icons are some of the best cards to use in the early stages of FC 25 Ultimate Team, and in addition to their unparalleled abilities on the pitch, Icons enhance team chemistry, and they also give you an extra bond if the selected player's nationality matches the Icon.
Ronaldo
R9 costs nearly twice as much as any other card in FC 25 at 14 million coins, but his combination of 94 pace, 94 shooting, and 94 dribbling makes him utterly devastating. His deep attributes are well spread out, too. He has 97 Finishing, 95 Attacking Positioning, 93 Shot Power and 88 Long Shot. His Quickstep+ playstyle will also give him half a yard of space to shoot from. He also has a five-star Technique and a five-star Weak Foot, making him the most well-rounded shooter in FUT right now, and likely until TOTY.
Ronaldinho
Priced at 6.3 million coins, but he is the only card in FUT with a 95 Dribbling. The combination of 95 Ball Control, 94 Agility and a five-star Technique makes him a total threat. Add to that his Trickster+ PlayStyle and he is virtually untouchable. Not only dribbling, his passing and shooting are fantastic, and he has the Trivela PlayStyle, which is essential for getting the ball into the back of the net.
Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane continues his five-five playstyle, with an amazing attribute line that makes him one of the best passers and dribblers in the game. While Zidane is far from an instant-win player, he encourages great playmaking and strategy as he won't simply outplay his opponents. If the player is good at using fluid midfielders, Zidane will be the best choice.
Ruud Gullit
With an OVR of just 90, Ruud Gullit is the lowest rated idol on this list, but his price of 6.7 million coins speaks volumes about his quality. An all-around master in the midfield. While his base position is CAM, he has alternate positions for CM and ST, giving players tremendous formation flexibility, and with his Aerial+ tactics, he can win headers in both penalty areas.
Paolo Maldini
Paolo Maldini is one of the best defensive players in Ultimate Team, helping players stop deadly attackers like Eusebio. While it's impossible to keep a clean sheet in every game, Maldini makes that a reality with his incredible awareness and defensive skills. Maldini can even be moved to the left-back position. But don't forget that Maldini performs best in the center-back position.
Cafu
Cafu's price has increased by 60% in the past month to 1.6 million coins and will likely continue to rise. With attackers dominating TOTW and promotions, the value of quality right backs will increase as they remain scarce. Cafu has 90 Pace and 88 Defending, making him a very valuable asset off the ball, but he is also influential with the ball. His 87 Short Pass and 86 Dribble can help him get involved in attacks.
Johan Cruyff
Cruyff is the first idol to date to have a perfect weak foot and can use all the skill moves in EA FC 25, making him one of the best dribblers in the game. His card has an excellent combination of attributes, 90 Pace, 91 Shooting, 90 Passing, and 93 Dribbling.
